NSS activity play an important role among the student in personality development, team work, time management and other. Our college having one NSS unit, total students enrolled in NSS for the year 2017-18 out of that 20.
Following programs were undertaken by our NSS Unit during the year:
- NSS volunteers have attended NSS residential camp of 7 days from 4th December 2017 to 10th December 2017 in the premises of Siddharth College of Commerce & Education a Boradpada, Badlapur West, Taluka Ambernath.
- NSS unit conducted number of activities during the year 2017-18 which includes, organised International Yoga Day as on 21st June, 2017 and importance of Yoga were explained by NSS unit, conducted rally for save energy, health & hygiene, organised poster making, drawing competition, essay writing related to save energy, save girl child and save trees, conducted cleanliness program in our college premises.
- NSS unit celebrated number of days like NSS Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Indian Constitution Days, Yuwa Diwas, Savitribai Fule Jayanti.
- NSS unit have sent few volunteers at CST Gateway of India to participate in Bhajan Sandhya as on 2nd October 2017, conducted cleanliness program a Kuradpada village & Boradpada village at Badlapur West.
- NSS unit volunteers conducted tree plantation at Siddharth College campus at Boradpada, Badlapur West.
- NSS unit donated old clothes to poor adiwasi people of Boradpada.
- NSS unit donated grocery products to poor adiwasi people.
- NSS unit conducted cultural activity at Siddharth College Campus with local student.
- Our NSS unit conducted daily prayer, exercise, meditation, yoga in NSS camp. Work performed by our NSS Volunteer were highly appreciated by Principal of Siddharth College of Commerce.
